Self-drive means what it says

Nobody rides out with you. Come 15 minutes early, which covers the waiver and the briefing, and after that the throttle is yours. Grace Bay and the reefs beside it are closed to Jet Skis, so the ride is the open water outside them, and the exact area follows current DMS guidance. The ski goes back on the dock you took it from, six hours later or one.

What it takes to ride

The whole bar is your age and a signature.

16 to drive, 4 to ride along

No license, and no experience either. There's a waiver to sign and a briefing to sit through, and then you're on the water. The price is per ski, so a passenger costs nothing extra.

Life vest and lanyard

Both provided, both worn. The lanyard clips to your vest and cuts the engine if you come off, which is the whole reason for it.

Cancellation and weather

Free cancellation. Cancel or move your booking up to 24 hours before your start time, for any reason, at no charge.

Weather. If it isn’t safe to go out, we don’t go out. Message us before you book and we’ll confirm what happens to your booking and your deposit if we make that call.

Jet Ski rental questions

Nobody rides out with you, so the two that matter are where you're allowed to go and what sits on your card while you're gone.

Where can I actually ride?

You launch from a dock in Providenciales and ride the open water beyond it, with the exact area following current DMS guidance. Grace Bay, Chalk Sound and the national parks are closed to Jet Skis.

Can two of us ride one ski?

Yes. Each ski seats two, and the price is per ski, not per person. The driver has to be 16 or older; a passenger can be as young as 4.

Do I need a license or any experience?

Neither. You sign a waiver and take the briefing at the dock, and that is the whole of it. Drivers must be 16 or older.

Is this a tour or a rental?

A rental. You take the ski out yourself and no guide goes with you, which is the difference between this page and a jet ski tour. If you would rather someone led the route, the guided experiences start at $150 a person and include the boat runs and the ATV tours.

What happens if I damage the ski?

A refundable hold goes on your card at pickup. It's a pre-authorization, not a charge, and it comes off when the ski is back undamaged. The briefing covers the mishaps worth avoiding.
