Where the two hours go
You meet at the gas station on Millennium Highway, which is already the road to Northwest Point, so the ride leaves in the right direction and never doubles back. Pavement gives way to dirt, then to a one-lane sand track through the coastal scrub. The quads park where the track meets the coast, and the rest is on foot. One destination, no repeated loops, with the longest stop at the far end.
What is out there
- The old light tower. a ruin standing over the rocks at the point, with an osprey nest on top of it
- Tide pools and the reef. the barrier reef runs close to shore here, and the pools open up at low tide
- An empty beach. a stretch of white sand with nobody on it, which is most of the appeal
- One destination, no loops. out to the point and back, never the same trail twice

Ages and licence, before you book
Send the ages of everyone coming when you ask about a date. They decide who can drive. Every rider signs a waiver at the meeting point.
Helmet on the whole ride
Helmet and protective gear are provided and worn throughout. Your guide rides out front and sets the pace on the sand.
Closed-toe shoes
The point and the beach are reached on foot over rock and soft sand. Closed-toe shoes, and there is little shade for the full two hours.
Up to 10 riders go out together, and the booking is private to your group.
Cancellation and weather
Free cancellation. Cancel or move your booking up to 24 hours before your start time, for any reason, at no charge.
Weather. If it isn’t safe to go out, we don’t go out. If we call it off for weather, you have the option to rebook within 30 days or receive a full refund.

Which of the two quad tours should I book?
Both run two hours at $260 a person from the same meeting point. This one is the wild-coast ride: a dead-end road, a sand track, and the tip of the island on foot. Split Rock and Pirate’s Cave is the history ride, with a cave you walk into.
Can we swim at the point?
No. There is no swim stop on this ride. The currents on that side of the island are strong, so the point and the beach are a walk-and-look stop.
Do I need off-road experience?
No. The ride opens with a briefing and a practice loop, and your guide sets the pace on the sand track.
