Questions before you ride

To drive a Jet Ski or a Jet Car you must be 16 or older, and no license is needed. To drive an ATV you must be 18 or older and hold a valid driver’s license. Passengers ride from age 4 on all three, and no previous experience is needed on any of them. Everyone signs a waiver and runs through the safety briefing before they ride.

Yes, as passengers from age 4 on all three machines. On the Jet Ski tours, a child passenger rides with an adult. On the ATV tours, a passenger rides on the second seat of a quad for $100.

Everyone on the water wears a life jacket the whole time. No tour needs you to get in the water, and none of them includes snorkeling.

A guide leads every ride and stays out front from start to finish. If it isn’t safe to go out, we don’t go out. On the water everyone wears a life jacket, and on the quads every rider wears a helmet. Everyone gets the safety briefing before they ride, and the quad tours start with a practice loop.

It depends on the ride. The Jet Ski and Jet Car rentals start at Sapodilla Bay Beach on Chalk Sound Drive. The Jet Ski tours start at Heaving Down Rock Marina, at the very end of Leeward Highway. The ATV tours start at Grants Wheeland Gas Station, 162 Millennium Highway, on the corner of Tom Lightbourne Drive. Each ride’s page shows its meeting point on a map.

No. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not part of any ride, so you make your own way to the start and back. Sapodilla Bay Beach, where the rentals launch, is about a 15-minute drive from the airport.

For a ride on the water, arrive 15 minutes before your start time. Everyone signs the waiver and runs through the safety briefing before anyone gets on a machine.

At Sapodilla Bay Beach, parking is free but not reserved. At Heaving Down Rock Marina, parking costs extra and is not part of the tour price.

For the water: swimwear, a towel and reef-safe sunscreen. We hand you a life jacket. Waterproof bags are not included, so leave anything that can’t get wet on shore. For the ATV tours: closed-toe shoes, and your own goggles and face cover for the dust. The helmet is ours.

Your machine or your seat, fuel, a life jacket on the water or a helmet on the quads, the safety briefing, bottled water and the guide who leads your ride. Tax is already in every price. Hotel pickup, waterproof bags and drone footage are not included.

Drone footage is an optional add-on rather than part of the ride price. Ask for it when you book and we’ll sort it out with you.

Every tour is private: your booking gets its own guide, and we never put two bookings on one outing. The Jet Ski tours take up to 5 riders and the ATV tours up to 10. On the rentals, up to 5 Jet Skis go out at a time with two riders to a ski, and both Jet Cars can go out together if you ask, which seats six.

If you want to drive on the water, most people should take the Jet Ski: $291 an hour, two to a ski, and first-timers manage it fine. If you would rather sit down and steer, take the Jet Car, from $300 for 30 minutes. If you want a place to go and not only a ride, book a tour: the La Famille Express shipwreck by Jet Ski, or Split Rock and Pirate’s Cave or Northwest Point by quad.

No. Our quads run only as two private guided tours, Split Rock and Pirate’s Cave, and Northwest Point. Each is two hours, $260 for each driver, plus $100 for a passenger on the second seat. Nobody rides without a guide.

Not with us. Our Jet Ski and Jet Car rentals launch from Sapodilla Bay Beach on the south coast and ride the open water off it, with your guide setting the area on the day. Our rentals do not go to Grace Bay.

No. A rental rides the open water off Sapodilla Bay Beach with your guide. The La Famille Express shipwreck is its own guided Jet Ski tour from Heaving Down Rock Marina: one hour, $291 per ski, out to the wreck and back.

No. None of our tours includes snorkeling, and we do not supply snorkel gear. The La Famille Express shipwreck tour rides out to the 1953 freighter about 2.3 miles off Long Bay and back, and nobody goes inside the wreck.
